Mechanical and Plumbing Upgrades, and Electrical Upgrades

PES provided design services for Mechanical, Plumbing and Electrical upgrades. The Mechanical and Plumbing upgrades included provision of new heating plant with new boilers using existing steam generation. It also included replacement of 10% of existing unit ventilators (UV) and replacement of worn parts with existing UVs.

This project’s scope of work generally consists of new 13.2 kV, 3-phase Electric Service, new Power Distribution throughout, full relighting & fire alarm of the building, new fire protection system, also replacement of the existing heating plant consisting of (3) new steam boilers, feedwater units, chemical and water treatment, transfer pumps, natural gas booster pumps, sump, and new Automatic Temperature Controls for the entire school. The four Central Fans rooms will be rehabilitated which includes new fan casings, new steam coils, rewound fan motors, new steam control valves, and automatic controls.
